Dan Karpuc: Dodgers -1.5 Runs vs. Cubs
Tony Gonsolin (10-0, 1.54 ERA) is on the mound for the Dodgers, which makes them an auto-pick for me. Los Angeles has covered the run line six straight times in his starts dating back to June 2 and it’d be difficult to replicate his pitching line in MLB The Show: 81.2 IP, 44 H, 14 ER, 77 K, 23 BB. I don’t expect him to have too many issues getting through this Cubs lineup. Meanwhile, Mark Leiter Jr. (2-2, 4.85 ERA) will toe the rubber for Chicago against a powerful (and now-healthy) Dodgers lineup. Edge: LA. Give me them to cover and win by at least two runs.

Lucy Burdge: Dodgers -280 ML vs. Cubs
The Dodgers have won their last three games and the Cubs have only won two of their last four, so I see the Dodgers coming into this game with some advantages. A trend in the Dodgers’ favor here is David Ross is 32-65 vs. an NL starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.25 or better while managing Chicago. Gonsolin and his 1.54 ERA and 10-0 record will get the start for the Dodgers, which is a major advantage for Los Angeles, up against Leiter Jr. for the Cubs, who is 2-2 with a 4.85 ERA. The Dodgers also swept the Cubs in their three-game series when they faced each other in May and I think they’ll continue their success against Chicago here.

Brad Pinkerton: Astros -1.5 vs. Royals

Though K.C. has covered twice in the first three games of this series, Houston has a clear edge today with Cy Young favorite Justin Verlander (10-3, 2.03) on the mound against the Royals' Kris Bubic (1-5, 7.06). Prior to this series, the Astros had covered in six straight home games, and in 11 of their last 12 games overall, so I think Verlander and the Houston offense gets back on track with a big win today.
