Matchday 11 presents some intriguing matchups, with Tottenham vs. Everton and Southampton vs. West Ham taking center stage for the weekend’s best bets.

Premier League odds have Tottenham as imposing favorites (-204) against Everton on Saturday. While backing Spurs on the moneyline doesn’t offer excellent value, some tasty alternatives offer markedly higher potential returns.

The other highlighted match features a Southampton side that has won only three of its previous 23 matches against West Ham, who has won two in a row to gain a modicum of separation from the bottom three.

Here are a few Premier League best bets entering Matchday 11.

Premier League Best Bets for MatchDay 11

Tottenham vs. Everton

Tottenham enters Saturday’s contest on the back of a 1-0 win at Brighton and a helter-skelter 3-2 Champions League victory over Frankfurt Eintracht. Each match was in stark contrast to the other.

Spurs’ rearguard was rock solid at Brighton, limiting the home side to a couple of decent scoring chances. Antonio Conte’s men secured their third clean sheet in nine matches, completely belying their midweek Champions League display.

Tottenham was culpable for a handful of egregious defensive mistakes, one of which resulted in the away side’s opener. Eric Dier coughed up possession in Spurs’ box after an inexplicably horrendous first touch.

Rest assured, Conte will address his team’s unforgivable defensive mishaps before Frank Lampard’s Toffees invade Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Everton has become increasingly difficult to score against this season, making it immeasurably more challenging for the opposition to take all three points.

Having conceded just nine goals in as many games, the Toffees have the joint-best defense in the top flight.

They haven’t conceded more than two goals, allowing that many on two occasions, against Manchester United last time out and at Aston Villa in the second match of the season.

New additions James Tarkowski and Conor Coady and returnee Idrissa Gueye have solidified the team’s spine, ensuring Everton is one of the most difficult teams to penetrate.

However, Everton has only mustered eight goals, the joint-fourth lowest. Conversely, Spurs have scored 20 goals, the joint-third most.

Conte’s side is also ripping through teams on their patch, winning all six home matches in the Premier League and Champions League, outscoring opponents 18-6.

Expect a substantially better, more secure defensive performance from Tottenham, who should win in a tight, low-scoring affair.

Best Bets:

Tottenham to win (-204)

Tottenham to win, and Everton not to score (+140)

Tottenham to win and under 3.5 goals scored (+120)

Southampton vs. West Ham

On the back of four straight defeats, Southampton enters proceedings on Sunday completely devoid of confidence. Reports suggest Ralph Hasenhuttl has lost the locker room and, with another poor result, will receive the dreaded pink slip

While West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium would ordinarily represent a winnable fixture, Southampton’s current tumult is an immovable roadblock. The Saints have been kept off the scoresheet in four of their previous six games, including one at home.

Hasenhuttl’s side has one victory from four home encounters, which came against Chelsea on Aug. 30. They’ve scored five of eight goals at St. Mary’s, and Hasenhuttl will be hoping home offers a cure-all anecdote for the team’s increasing ailments.

Southampton has the joint-fourth worst offense and joint-fifth most porous defense, demonstrating why they’re just a single point from safety.

Meanwhile, West Ham has turned its fortune with two straight wins.

Another victory would see the Hammers jump into the top half of the table. Both of West Ham’s recent wins were at the London Stadium, so Sunday’s away contest offers a decidedly more challenging test.

The Hammers lost two in a row on the road but have momentum and confidence on their side. Recent signing Gianluca Scamacca has found his Premier League scoring boots, bagging two in his last two starts.

Michail Antonio also got on the scoresheet in the Hammers’ 3-1 win over Fulham, which bodes well for Moyes’ side.

Expect West Ham to continue their rich vein of form and add to Southampton’s misery, probably slamming the final nail in Hasenhuttl’s coffin.

Best Bets:

West Ham to win (+145)

West Ham to win and both teams to score (+340)
