Top MLB Player Prop Bets

Let's take a look at some of the best MLB player prop bets for today's games, according to BetQL and BetMGM staff members.

Adolis García Over 1.5 Bases (+135) vs. Rays

Batting .253 with an OBP of .302, García is having a good season — and he’s recorded eight hits including three home runs in just his last seven games to prove it’s only getting better. Against the Rays, who are admittedly having a very nice season as well, I think García should be able to heat up at the plate.

This will be Rays’ pitcher Corey Kluber’s second time throwing to García this season. He has an ERA of 4.36 and WHIP of 1.17, so could put up a bit of a fight tonight. Regardless, I’m confident García can back up his solid season with two bases.

At +135, I love the money, and for 1.5 bases, I like this prop a lot. -- Rachael Millanta, BetMGM

Elvis Andrus Over 1.5 Bases (+115) vs. Tigers

He’s still a relatively new addition to Chicago, but he’s making up for lost time. Andrus is batting .253 with an OBP of .312 this season and has recorded 11 hits, including three home runs, in just his last seven games. He’s even recorded at least two bases in six of his last seven games. Against the Tigers, who are admittedly having a rather underwhelming season this year, Andrus should be able to shine tonight at the plate.

Detroit’s Matt Manning will be starting on the mound tonight, and this will be his first time this season throwing to Andrus. With an ERA of 3.73 and WHIP of 1.22, Manning has had a nice season and is likely to make it difficult tonight, but regardless, I think Andrus can record at least two bases.

At +115, the money could be better, but that’s what you get when a player’s bat is hot. For 1.5 bases, I love this prop. -- R.M.

“BEAT THE STREAK” PICK OF THE DAY: Paul Goldschmidt, Cardinals

Having landed six hits including one homer just his last seven games, Goldschmidt feels like a bit of a safe pick at this point, which is why I keep returning to him for Beat the Streak. The Cardinals’ first baseman is batting .324 with an OPS of 1.016, so knocking the ball around at least once against the Reds tonight should be very doable.

This will be Cincinnati pitcher Justin Dunn’s second time this season pitching to Goldschmidt. Dunn is having a rather disappointing season, currently sitting on an ERA of 6.10 in just seven games, so Goldschmidt shouldn’t have too many issues backing up his great year with yet another hit tonight. -- R.M.
